We are pleased to announce that the 2010 NE Vegan Gathering is taking place from the 2nd to 9th April
again at Micklewood Park, Longhurst, Morpeth, Northumberland.

The 2009 event was a major success with around 100 people staying for the week
& with visitors coming in for the open day, talks & workshops.
We will shortly be updating the site to include reviews & photos of the event.

The 2010 gathering will be bigger & better as we have 28 houses available,
with more workshops, talks & events planned.
Micklewood Park is a beautiful place in 70+ acres of woodland with many attractions & perfectly placed for
Northumberland’s beautiful beaches, countryside and castles such as Bamburgh, Chillingham,
Warkworth and Alnwick, where Harry Potter was filmed.

We have chosen this area to provide a perfect break for families & singles.
The aim of the NE Vegan Gathering is to bring people together for a green, peaceful, fun week
& to enhance & promote veganism in the North East.

On site you will find a choice of comfortable accommodation in purpose-built holiday houses.
All are self-catering and can comfortably accommodate between 4 & 10 people.
All are nicely furnished with a large fitted kitchen, dining area, lounge, bath & shower rooms.
All heating & electricity are included along with linen & towels.

Also on site is an outdoor kids play area, games room, walking trails, gym & kids club.
Other facilities include golf clubs, tennis courts, five aside which can be booked for a fee.
There is also a couple of bars & places to eat out along with many other options locally.

If that wasn't enough we are also organising onsite events which may include:-
BBQ, Chocolate Workshop, Easter egg hunt, pot luck lunches, local tours, talks,
mediation & yoga workshops, food & raw food tasting, competitions, quiz nights & more.

Prices & booking Info.

Spaces are limited and purely taken on a 1st come first served basis.
Enquires have been coming in since the last event finished so please book early.

You can book a house for yourself or share with others.

Accommodation B comprises of holiday homes for up to 10 people.
B type houses are good for families with children as they are in the main courtyard.
This is ideal for children to play together and easy to keep a watchful eye over them.
£550 and can be booked with just a £100 deposit.

Shared Accommodation.
You can book a room in shared houses either by yourself or to share a room.
Double, twin or single room Room £100 (£120 after 1st June)
One person sharing a twin room £60 (£70 after 1st June)
Deposit only 50%.

What is the difference between A & B accommodation?
B accommodation has recently been refurbished by the site & has newer equipment.
A is perfectly suitable for our needs & more than adequate for a pleasant stay, just a little older.

How do I make a booking?
Simply download the booking form, complete & return to us with your payment.

I am not vegan, can I still come along?
Yes. Last year many non vegans came along & really enjoyed the vegan lifestyle.
It is conditional that all attendees only eat vegan food for the week.
Help is available with buying vegan foods & recipe ideas.
We will be having plenty of pot luck meals, where we all bring along
something to share with others & learn what others eat.
Vegan foods can be ordered before the event & a list of ideas will be supplied.
The local hotel can supply vegan meals too.
We will also be running a BBQ on a few days.
This is meant to be a fun event & there is no need to stress about food.
