Some of us met to discuss future events. We talked about holding a vegetarian book club, a beach barbecue at South Shields, a vegan holiday (indoors), another meal out, the Gosforth go green event and our pre Christmas event.
Group Meeting - Saturday 21/06/2008
Our first meeting at the newly opened Jack Sprats Cafe on Chillingham Road in Heaton. A good turnout, including a few kids. An ideal venue for them to come along.
Newcastle Community Green Festival - Saturday and Sunday 07/06/2008 and 08/06/2008
Our regular stall at this year's Green Festival. Thanks to everyone who helped out. We raised some money, made some new friends and got the word out there that VegNE is here & growing.
Great North Vegetarian Festival 2008 - Saturday 24/05/2008
The first
Great North Vegetarian Festival 2008 was a huge success, and hopefully the start of a regular event. The event to help celebrate National Vegetarian Week, was a celebration of all things vegetarian and vegan. We have had quite a bit of positive feedback from the group, stall holders & visitors with many requests of when we are going to do another. We have also learnt a lot & know where to improve for the next one/s.

Project Meeting - Monday 03/03/2008
A meeting to discuss arrangements for the Great North Vegetarian Festival. Quite a few things have been decided, and the next meeting scheduled for two weeks time.
Informal Meeting - Thursday 21/02/2008
We met in the Newcastle Arms in Newcastle at 7ish for an informal meeting. We discussed evening meetings, needing a secretary, Saturday meeting times, and National Vegetarian Week.
