About Us

VegNE is an active local vegetarian group who like to socialise together and hopefully influence the choice of vegetarian fayre in the area. We are affiliated to the Vegetarian Society, have monthly meetings in Newcastle, get involved in local events and have meals out.

VegNE is based in Newcastle upon Tyne with members from Tyne & Wear, Northumberland & County Durham.

We run VegNE in an open, democratic manner largely without formalities and encourage members to initiate and engage in VegNE projects which are co-operatively agreed at our monthly meetings.

Membership is free and to join please apply for a free subscription to this Discussion Group, to be approved by the VegNE Organiser/List owner-Discussion Group Moderator. The Discussion Group enables members to stay in touch, network with other group members and discuss matters of common interest.

We also have links with the local vegan group.
