Welcome to the VegNE website...
We are a local vegetarian and vegan social group affiliated to the Vegetarian Society, serving the North East of England (Newcastle, North Tyneside, South Tyneside, Northumberland, Sunderland, Durham and Darlington). We enjoy social events, such as a meal in a local restaurant, and hope to give local vegetarians a better voice.
Membership is free and new members are always welcome. We meet on the 1st Wednesday of each month at Bob Trollops on Newcastle's Quayside at 7.00pm, (32-40 Sandhill, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 3JF). We also meet every 3rd Saturday at Jack Sprats Vegetarian/Vegan Cafe at 10.30am (413 Chillingham Road, Heaton, Newcastle). See our Events page for details of these and other exciting events.
